The fabric is nice. It's a little less structure than a traditional fit, but looks great with khaki pants or jeans
I just had one of the worst customer service experiences at Banana Republic Fashion Valley San Diego. I was returning a brand-new suit that was purchased online as a gift and received only three days ago. Kristina (or Christina), a middle-aged woman with a European accent, handled the return. Instea...d of politely asking if there was an issue with the suit or the reason for the return, she proceeded to smell the suit multiple times and then stated, "it smells bad, like you went to a barbecue." The suit was never worn outside, only tried on briefly (less than 5 minutes) for sizing. All tags were still attached, and I had the original proof of purchase. Despite this, I was treated with suspicion and spoken to in a condescending, accusatory tone with absolutely no basis. The suit was clean, unworn, and in perfect condition. I've never been treated this poorly as a paying customer. If this is how Banana Republic chooses to treat people making legitimate returns, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Absolutely unacceptable behavior and a deeply disappointing experience.

I bought this for my fiancé as a Summer jacket and he loves it! Classic, beautiful soft grey-blue, it works with a nice shirt and tie, or just casually with a t-shirt or polo shirt. Could be worn three seasons a year. Very happy with this purchase.

Let me give props to the Seattle U.Village location and store manager I think was Olin or Odin. He was super helpful and really spent time talking with me about this suit. It's perfect. Lightweight and can be dressed up or down with dress shoes or sneakers.
