I'm typically between a US 12 and 14 with a 38C bust and I purchased this dress in XL. I was drawn to it as I have a chubby midsection and I'm always looking for cute garments that will conceal it. This dress is generously sized and I probably could've sized down to a Large, but it gives me the re...laxed, comfortable feel I was looking for. I'm 5'3" and the hemline ends past my fingertips. I'm impressed by how substantial the material feels and I'd love to see more 100% cotton items from BR.
I was expecting the darker colour to be navy blue, as described, but it looks more like burgundy with a lighter blue line. Very stylish though.

Wow! This is a winner. I purchased this and the denim skirt to add to my non-existent fall skirt/dress collection and this dress is a showstopper. Fits great! I'm a petite size with small waist and hips. It falls perfectly on my hips and bottom. A little big in midsection, but if it were fitted everywhere, might be too sexy for work. Very comfortable. Carried 8 ft tables in this! Sweater tights and tall boots. Love it!

This is one of the best dresses Banana Republic has put out. The style is fantastic and the comfy cotton fabric cozy but so chic looking. The blouson effect in the back is very attractive. What a unique way to design plaid. And it's so easy to accessorize. It's a show stopper!
